The students and staff are welcomed by our knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining guides. All will enjoy the Adventure River Cruise down the Talofofo River while guides share information about local flora, fauna, and wildlife.
Then it gets exciting as a living Chamorro village begins to emerge around the river bend. Students will learn about the varying ways the ancient Chamorros lived off the land through a guided tour of the Botanical Gardens and Ancient Latte Site showcasing the resources that made this Valley a thriving location for indigenous people for over 4,000 years. After the tour, groups will be treated to an interactive experience with our resident Ulitao as they use traditional techniques to carefully craft the Chamorro's seafaring vessels. Delicious Fiesta Lunch Plates, with produce sourced from the Valley of the Latte's sustainable agriculture, fire-starting demonstrations, and basket weaving exhibitions all provide a truly immersive way to experience what life was like for the ancient Chamorros. Short adventure hikes and a trip to the Valley of the Latte Animal Sanctuary will round out the excursion and provide smiles, stories, and memories to last a lifetime.
